Mile High Music Festival Photos

In June I had the opportunity to photograph the Mile High Music Festival, my first time shooting a music festival…very exciting! I was only able to make the first day, so I was a little bummed about missing Rodrigo y Gabriela and Dave Matthews …next time. Anyway, these photos represent a few of the highlights for me. Spoon, awesome…love these guys. I’d never heard of Michael Franti & Spearhead and boy had I been missing out. They are fantastic. Powerful lyrics and their performance was outstanding. Lupe Fiasco was another artist I hadn’t heard before. He gave a great performance as well and his fans were CRAZY, in a good way. His set was super energized.

All in all it was a great experience and with the exception of the three song rule and the pit packed with other photographers, I think shooting music festivals is a great gig.
