From the Archives – Mardi Gras

Happy Mardi Gras!!  I had the pleasure of photographing the first Mardi Gras after Katrina.  It was my first and only Mardi Gras so I have nothing to compare it to but, WOW, the people of New Orleans know how to throw a party.  It was so fantastic to see people out celebrating in the wake of such a devastating storm.  I followed the parade from Uptown into the French Quarter…focusing mostly on characters.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.

It’s still a work in progress, but if you’d like to see a few images from my trips to New Orleans you can take a look at my New Orleans Gallery on my archive site.
